>>15435162if you do not believe in once saved always saved (God's promise of everlasting life Jesus personally taught in John 3:16), you're not saved because you believe that Jesus gave you temporal life for believing in him, not everlasting life. if you believe that you can lose your salvation, forfeit your salvation, walk away from your salvation, or believe that you have to have good works as evidence of your salvation, you're not saved because you think your salvation is conditional upon your works and not having faith in Jesus. Jesus taught salvation was by faith alone in John 3:16 (it says "whosoever believeth", not whosoever has good works, repents of theirs sins, gives their life to christ, goes to church, gets water baptized, proves their salvation through their works, etc). Christians believe that salvation is by faith alone, and Christians also believe that it's once saved always saved. if you don't believe that, you're not saved and need to repent of your unbelief and believe the gospel. protestant vs catholicism is a false dichotomy as most protestants are not saved because most of them believe in false gospels (usually some variation of works based salvation).
