All that stuff about what they sounded like is mostly speculation though. It's impossible to say until we have a live Tyrannosaur to study. Other dinosaurs have skulls that facilitate their sound, supposedly, so it's easier to figure that out.

I have an idea that the earth was bathed in radiation which killed off all the big animals, leaving the small ones who can crawl underground, or go into the water, to survive.
The same thing happened during the Younger-Dryas.
