it's hard to say too terribly much without spoiling the parts that make it so good but the series both executes on a few twists really well and is probably one of the best i've ever seen at ramping up to borderline incomprehensible scale.
it also gets increasingly dark and tragic as time goes on which i'm a huge fan of
