a bit annoying but what can u do. for example i started actually reading the chapt and when it's talking about comparisons it just says to do Aの方がBよりVerb and that's it which is an absurd oversimplification.
i don't necessarily want a very deep explanation for this stuff instead but presenting it as some sort of set phrase instead of just explaining what 方 and より mean makes it difficult to recognize what's actually happening. u could just as easily say AはBより for example and that shouldn't need to be explained, but because they're explicitly trying to turn simple things into set phrases all the time it makes this kind of stuff impossible to see without consulting outside sources
maybe i'll use tae kim instead since that's what i always end up referencing anyway
