France used to be based even after WW2, even after they lost most of their colonies, and even during the Algerian war.

Segregation was omnipresent, and it was frequent for a Pied-noir to live in the rich parts of Algeria while the Nafris and Subsaharan Africans were put in the poorer places. It was almost impossible for a native Algerian to move to the mainland and live their life there. Their economy was booming, they even left NATO for a moment, developed their own nukes despite the US and the USSR's protests, and gave absolutely no fucks about any outsider's opinion. Charles De Gaulle made sure France stayed France, and relevant enough in the international scene. The economical growth was named "Les Trentes Glorieuses", for it happened from 1945 to 1975.

This is the start date they decided to make France no longer France, the start date their economy slowed down, the start date of most of the problems that still pester current day France. Like most countries in the Western world, segregation is heavily punished by law, and most of the younger generations are immediately immersed in diversity so that they'll think this is absolutely normal. Northern Paris was built to accomodate the migrants, but Southern and Central Paris' property is being bought by the Chinese. Major cities such as Marseilles and Lyon are at the very least 30% Nafri. There is constant social unrest and a high amount of corruption. The French proposed and pushed the idea of a common currency, the Euro, but once it was introduced, France lost half of its industry in less than 5 years.
