The problem is that housing has turned into an 'investment' industry, where rich foreigners get to "invest" in US real estate, because its "safer" than their own countries.
This is why New York Real estate is so fucked up. The valuation of the places there are inflated by foreign investors.
OP is creating his own problem, he is bailing water INTO the boat, and telling the other passengers; "hurry up, you gotta bail the water out or we'll all sink!"
