>>4313948The Japs did distract the Americans for at least 6 months, since in Feb-May of 1942 80,000 US marines were stranded in the Philippines by the Japs. We had to save our boys and spent months focusing everything we had on the Japs, but still sent supply ships to Britain and the USSR, but no troops to Europe until 1943.
