why would some words not have kanj listed when there's kanj for the word?

well sure, a lot of language learning is getting a bunch of native input and assuredly i'll refine my pronunciation with that as time goes on. for now though i'm picking up a huge volume of random, specific words through hard memorization so it doesn't seem reasonable to try and find a clip of a native saying each word i'm trying to dedicate to memory. the google method isn't ideal and someone who uses it exclusively would sound very silly but for now it's a very efficient method for getting instant feedback
