Because the distance between my eyeball and Jupiter or the Moon is a straight line. This same truism extends to all far flung objects in deep space.
Even if you try and cope and say that's a projection on a dome it doesn't make the above any less true. The gap between me and the "projection" or "fake Moon" is still a straight line. The Earth is curved, no straight line path between you on top of the tallest building in NYC and London. The distance between NYC and London is less than the distance you allege between sea level and the "sky dome". See checkmated again jew!
