The division between Hebrew (which Jesus was) and Jew (which are the pharisees and Sadducees) has been deliberately obfuscated to shield modern Jews from scrutiny. Hebrewism for all intents and purposes went extinct and Christianity is the fulfillment of that covenant. But that is a threat to the status of the pharisees, hence why they are so rabidly incensed against Christians, especially those that are hardline and reject their subversions. This is why they rile up pagans and others against Christ. They'll try to undermine Christianity so that all that is left is the pozzed hippie, non-threatening version is left. An empty husk as exhibited by any of those ultraliberal "churches" with lesbian "pastors" that hang banners welcoming refugees. Even that will be discarded eventually once they've served their purpose. Can't have anyone digging too deep in the coat closet and finding the skeletons of what they've done.
