Most of the cars around where I'm at the slow shit is still over 500 horse for a good cruiser. There's a lot of guys running 2000+ horsepower street cars with a glide.
In no way, shape, form or fashion are any manuals under any circumstance going to be shifted faster than a lot of the new ZF based transmissions. The new dual clutches in the Camaros, Vettes, Demons etc are going to slay anything in a straight line or even in sweeping turns and slopes. Manuals don't begin to become competitive until you're trying to save yourself from dying in the mountains which is pretty much almost nowhere here.
