Alot of t.v. shows, whether story driven or reality, seem to show Americans in big modern houses even when they don't seem middle class atleast. The family could be completely decrepit or about to go out of business but have 60 thousand dollar vehicles and a nice house.
Am I retarded thinking that tv shows reflect real life instead of what makes for convenient filming or do Americans live just within their means and get maximum loans? I have a loan for a place I'm paying off but it's practically half of what a bank actually offered me so I could be in a 2 million dollar house if I was keen enough so now I'm curious if Americans just do that on the regular?
