pretty sure you're falling for weeb/translation propaganda and that japanese is a relatively simple language once you get past the 4 alphabets and eastoid features. people yelling about their supreme dragon slaying sword strike of the eastern sun or declaring they're going to kill god with their bare hands is gonna sound flowery in any language, especially if it's not its native one.

pretty sure they have i and you but no he/she/they. it's just that the word's a shortened version that can be used a ton of different ways depending on what you extrapolate the rest of the context is and the most frequent usage is "i like [it/that]"
