https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KabbalahShort story, its the divine elements of God and how we are created in his image.
"The Kabbalah posits that the human soul has three elements, the nefesh, ru'ach, and neshamah."
Nefesh (נפש): the lower part, or "animal part", of the soul. It is linked to instincts and bodily cravings. This part of the soul is provided at birth. (primary place: liver) The Chassidut teaches that it is possible to make holy even daily habits, such as eating and working.
Ruach (רוח): the middle soul, the "spirit". It contains the moral virtues and the ability to distinguish between good and evil. (primary place: heart) “Knowing heart”— a heart that knows that whatever happens in the world comes from God.
Neshamah (נשמה): the higher soul, or "super-soul". This separates man from all other life-forms. It is related to the intellect and allows man to enjoy and benefit from the afterlife. It allows one to have some awareness of the existence and presence of God. (primary place: brain)
It is very complex and much too hard to simplify but it's the deep roots of Jewish Understanding & Mysticism.
"Jewish Kabbalah is a set of esoteric teachings meant to explain the relationship between God, the unchanging, eternal, and mysterious Ein Sof (אֵין סוֹף, "The Infinite"), and the mortal and finite universe (God's creation). It forms the foundation of mystical religious interpretations within Judaism."

The Devil/Fallen one originates in our tradition as well, and the fundamental rule is, if you use Jewish Kabbalah to try and achieve material gains, like money, status, women etc. Or anything besides a closer relationship to God or how to become a better human being - then it is sinful, and you will lose your mind because of it.
