>>17137254My take away on this is that they were devaluing the entire concept of sacrifice, It's one thing to put love and care into raising an animal and then offer it up to God while also having a communal meal of it with God's earthly family but it's something very less meaningful to toss a couple of bucks to the scalper at the door.
I see a similar thing taking place in the churches today where people are paying for works to be done on their behalf via missionaries for hire and I have a feeling that Jesus would be acting similarly towards that group if he were to attend one of their trade shows. Don't get me started on the money laundering that goes on through some of these missionaries for hire who allegedly do their services internationally.
