A live stream opens with Cassie sitting near a window in her downtown Spaghetti Town penthouse. Her fist is tightly clenched and she seems to have been deep in thought. But she quickly takes on a more charming demeanour as the camera rolls.
"The word is out. At the next PWE, the future of the WWA will be decided in two steel cages, and I will be on the team representing the auditors." She pauses, and sips from a glass of wine. "Every day since that announcement was made, I've been called all manner of names by misguided fans online, on the streets, and even in Club Xtacy."
"Traitor. Judas. Endless speculation about just what I may have been offered in return for picking a side in this conflict." Cassie takes another sip of her wine as she thinks of Samara's ultimatum, issued so many weeks ago in Club Xtacy. Either pick her side, or risk her drug business being exposed. She sets down the glass, and sets about creating a different narrative entirely. "So today I set the record straight, and tell you the truth about why I've given the auditors my support."
"Throughout its existence, the WWA has been very loosely governed. Its employees have been allowed to engage in all manner of unprofessional activities, and in so doing have brought disrepute upon themselves, the company, the wrestling industry as a whole, and most importantly you, the fans. For an honest businesswoman such as myself, this environment has been nothing short of a nightmare."
"But then the auditors came along, endeavouring to bring WWA towards a brighter more prosperous future. A future where our wrestlers don't die prematurely. Where our network won't kick us off the air."
Cassie chuckles. "And don't take my word for it. You only need look at who the women standing in defence of our dark past under Spaghetti Dog are, and compare them to those seeking to change this company for the better to see the truth."
