Look at pic related, 1g sugar.
A regular 12 oz can of coca cola contains 39g of sugar, aka 9 1/3 tsp. In a 16 oz, they add 50g.
Imagine if you down three 16 oz bottles a day. That's 150g sugar, or 10 tablespoons.
Counting calories isn't going to save people, especially not if this is the trash that people put in their bodies, and this is just in terms of drinks. Sure, it's nice to have something sweet every now and then, but it shouldn't be what you live off of.
