>>20255523The mascot has exactly five eyes.
Five Eyes.
Now where have I heard that name before?
Oh yeah, I remember now:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_EyesThe mascot also strongly reminds me of my all time favorite H.P. Lovecraft god: Yog-Sothoth.
The lore around him makes him the coolest of all the gods.
He exists outside of time and space.
He is one of the Outer Gods and is arguably the 2nd most powerful being of all of the gods; behind only Azathoth.
He has many different guises that he has used to appear before man throughout the ages.
Almost all of them are evil, except for one that is sort of neutral.
>Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in Yog-Sothoth. He knows where the Old Ones broke through of old, and where They shall break through again. He knows where They have trod earth’s fields, and where They still tread them, and why no one can behold Them as They tread.>Yog-Sothoth embodies cosmic knowledge, transcending dimensions and revealing the interconnectedness of all existence.>Yog-Sothoth is the gate, key and guardian of the gate.>Yog-Sothoth revealing the interconnectedness of all existence.Hmmm.
Are they trying to hint at something here?
I'm sure they would claim that the mascot is surrounded by Olympic gold medals.
But those could just as easily be gold coins.
