my opinion is that it's not a fraud, but should be viewed in context of other movements of the 20th century concerned with psychical research, like theosophy, law of one, analytical psychology, and certain renaissance magic/mysticism practitioners, which all revive the hermetic teachings of egypt, the original spirit of early christianity (which is totally alien to today's fundamentalism) and certain presocratic philosophers like heraclitus or parmenides, that we have lost. they all have something of value to contribute and one should not dominate over the other, although some are more rigorous in their analysis of the human soul. they come to similar conclusions. what else do we have? psychedelics? it's like sculpting with a sledgehammer.
anyway don't be a skeptic but don't give her total reign either, and try to help her contextualize it with other movements, that's what id do.
