Waking up from a coma is nothing like in the movies. I was "emerging" for what felt like weeks before I could even do anything to get someone's attention. I just had to lie there unable to move while nurses injected me with things and drew my blood indiscriminately. I broke 29 bones and completely severed my right acl, then on top of that I had spinal fluid leaking from my nose. I felt so much pain I seriously thought I had died and that the hospital was hell. I feel like I'll probably write a book about it one day because it was a fucking insane story.
