>>8819559>>8819588I just can't get over how low-calorie they are. Hiking with elevation changes and a 30-40 pound pack for 15-20 miles a day consumes an additional 3000ish calories on top of your TDEE, so you'd need to eat like ten of them to recoup expenditure.
That's the one thing I've always wondered about thru-hiking one of the long distance trails, is how could you possibly carry a week's worth of food if you're consuming twice your normal calorie consumption.
