you can't erase the timeline if You don't change it, but you can erase yourself from these timelines
as in my example from above let's say :
you go back in 36 to fix the whole change you've been made BUT you somehow die, that means the change it will happen, no one will stop it, that timeline will continue its course and you will find yourself in that situation again, dying.
that makes that modified timeline the real one
