The last paragraph of the page of the Bible says, "If anyone adds or takes away from the words of this scroll, then he is cursed." I don't think they would have put that in there if that wasn't a real problem. So... do you think no one is cursed for that reason, meaning the text is perfectly in the unadulterated form now, or do you think that there are people who will suffer from that curse and God has only defended the book to the extent that it will facilitate his mastery of the day of judgement at the end of the age? The latter, IMO. If there's a curse written in there, that curse falls on someone. (If God's plan is to bring forth the Day of Lord and the Bible sets that stage for him to exactly accomplish that goal, then it follows that the Bible worked perfectly for God's purposes, and that it is therefore perfect.)
