sure the best explanation is probably that he just couldnt handle being told that his plan is flawed, since he thought it out so much and all
but its still just a bit cheap
i mean why would he instantly resort to blowing it all up
an actual super intelligent dude wouldnt instantly throw it all away once he's told that there's a flaw in what he was doing, he'd try to salvage it in some way still
and his end goal was the betterment of humanity after all, rather than just creating a race that's superior and nothing more
youd figure that he would at the very least try to figure out a plan b instead of having to throw away all that he worked for
and i mean it couldve worked still
it would make things more complicated to have to set up breeding camps and shit but in the end it'd still function, all it makes for is an extra step
he did plan on keeping humans around as long as they didnt interfere anyway, so why would this be past him
doesnt even have to be that immoral
they could be allowed to live out a life or something even and only then turned into a super mutant
seeing as even grandmas can do it
i guess it would pose a threat of rebellion or something but idk, if his army is strong enough then it would be able to be contained
plus he's a psyker and that could be played into it somehow
only an option though if he's feeling generous, could also be more blunt with it
point is that it would work out and make the flaw of mutants being sterile not that important
also maybe he could do this to buy himself time until he can figure out how to make mutants that can reproduce, its fallout so why not
anyway ya i think its just a cop-out that it comes down to "really really really smart bad guy but he has insecurities that you can beat him with wow"
while he could figure out this in 10 minutes or something
