>>13801838Well you kind of answered your own question without realizing it. Basically, there is two options. One, you spend 15k+ to get all the equipment to do it right and you never recoup your initial investment while working your ass off. If it's just a pure hobby and you have the money / space than sure it's great.
The reality for most home brewers with brewing beer is you spend 6-8+ hours of hard work and cleaning to make a decent/good beer that ended up costing you the same or more for two cases of beer. It's just an extreme amount of work/money for little return. A 5 gallon bucket of beer is a LOT LESS alcohol than 5 gallons of Sake. And brewing cider is literally just applejuice/sugar/yeast and you forget about it for 3 months then bottle it. Don't even have to do a secondary transfer off the yeast etc.
