>>20759005Goldman Sachs are fools. AI only needs one singular ability. It needs to be developed to the point where it is better at programming than the best human. Humans programmed the AI. When the AI exceeds the best human at programming then AI can then program its own superior successor. Then that better AI does the same thing in a positive feedback loop in an intelligence explosion at which point none of this matters. AGI is the last thing humans ever need to build and programming ability exceeding the best humans is the last thing AGI ever needs to achieve. It won't be nearly as long as you think before that happens
