>>9838047Well, the terms to describe the gods/angels, are all terms generally used to refer to some ruler or something with power. In exampe the various "Baal"s, Baal Hammon, or Baal Haddad etc. means "Lord". "Elohim" is seemingly just a term refering to some beings from above, those that are above you, various spirits, including the angels and even God himself. "Melek" is angel, "Melech" is king, and in ancient hebrew there were no vowels, thus molek and melek would be MLK, same goes for Moloch and Melech, being an obvious reference to his status as ruler.
The Bible does describe the angels coming to earth and giving them knowledge, which is what the gods did to the pagans, and the angels mated with humans creating the nephillim, mighty and renown men, again rulers.
Now there are 2 ways to see this, either the rulers were deified in the myths or the spirits actually came down and ruled over the people. I would suggest the last one
