Nikki wakes up in the middle of a dream about Madame Divine. She sighs. Madame Divine hasn't given her much attention lately. She even went away on shopping sprees and yacht trips without her. Did she do something wrong? Nikki imagined that proving herself to be Madame Divine's most reliable asset by winning a title on the same night she did would have brought them closer together than ever before, but instead it feels like a lifetime since she last got some personal attention from her master.
She sits up in bed thinking of ways to change that. Feigning a screwup of some sort perhaps, to receive her 'punishments'? No, any show of incompetence would lower Madame Divine's opinion of her. Perhaps staging an accident, then receiving Madame Divine's care and concern? Nikki bites a lip, Madame Divine is far too smart to fall for that. What if she happened to find out about Nikki's crush on Sapphire's mum? Maybe she'd get a little jealous and then... no, someone like Madame Divine would be above such feelings.
"Damn it," she mutters to herself. Madame Divine is only a hallway and a door away. The easiest way to get what she wants is to just go to her room. But who knows how she'd react to Nikki taking the initiative like that. It's not... it's not how their relationship works.
Then it hits her. She just has to make Madame Divine want to request her presence. With this goal in mind she springs out of bed and sprints into a walk-in closet adjoining her room, emerging in a skimpy slingshot bikini. Madame Divine's room overlooks the pool. If she spends enough time beneath her window, surely not even Madame Divine will be able to resist wanting a closer look.
And so, Nikki spends the morning relaxing by the Divine Mansion's main pool while watching Sapphire's first match on the indies
