it was built by a guy single-handedly over the course of 40 years, with some little help from his three sons (one of whom is now the sole caretaker and resident of the building) after they got old enough.
officially it's called Castle Taród (after the man who built it), however, the locals named it Castle Fool, to reflect Mr. Taród's eccentric behaviour.
