Cassie raises a brow. "So you know who did it? Tell me, was it those accursed Mexicans? Or have the Russians somehow returned yet again?"
Delilah shakes her head. "Neither." She shows Cassie her phone. On it, security footage plays, showing Steeli using a skylight to get into the warehouse.
Cassie clenches a fist. "The win for her team wasn't enough for her, hmm? She had to interfere with my business too?" She punches a locker. "Well fine. I'll take her out. One on one next show. No disqualifications. Me and her, we end this."
Delilah is well aware that Cassie isn't the type of woman she has any business disagreeing with. But against her better judgement, she does it anyway. "Boss, think of the B1. It's a gruelling tournament. I have no doubt you'd defeat Steeli again, but at what cost? Don't give her the opportunity to injure you before the B1."
Delilah's words put doubts in Cassie's mind. She's right. But Steeli's actions can't go unanswered. "Good point," Cassie mutters. "I'll have Kelly or Kasumi fight her."
Delilah shakes her head. "They both have their own B1 campaigns to focus on too."
"Ok fine! Then you deal with her!" Cassie snaps.
Delilah's eyes widen. "W-what? I'm not a wrestler, I'm barely even a manager, I studied law. I did a few martial arts classes, so I can fight a bit... but I'm not built for this. What if I get hurt? Then I won't be able to support you at ringsi-
Cassie's palms slam against the locker as she corners Delilah between the metal surface and her own body. She smirks down at the smaller woman. "I said deal with her."
Delilah lowers her head and nods. "Yes b-boss."
