>>19284799She felt a tap on her arm, followed by the bell ringing and her theme music playing. She released her grip on Cassie Kade who dropped to the ground, and took a moment to catch her breath
She'd done it, she'd actually done it. She'd beaten Cassie Kade. It almost didn't feel real. Her music still blaring, the crowd cheering for her, and Cassie on the ground trying to catch her breath while she stood over her
But it was real, and Nico wasn't going to let this moment pass her by. She played to the audience, soaking in their applause and reveling in the fact that she'd ended her B1 in such a triumph
Then she turned to Cassie, still on the ground. She still felt so much hate for her, for what her group had done to her, for what she represented. For a moment she considered attacking her in this vulnerable state. After all, she deserved it, and this could be the only opportunity Nico got to give it to her.
But that would mean going against everything she said about being a role model. If she were to call out Cassie for having no morals only to kick her while she was down it would make her a hypocrite. Could she really give up all those values she'd been breaching just to satisfy her rage? What would people, her fans, think about her? What would some of the other wrestlers she looked up to think about her? What would Ratasha think about her?
In the end, she decided to simply leave the ring without hurting Cassie any further, as much as it pained her slightly to leave her without her just deserts, she'd taken Cassie's opportunity to advance to the B1 finals, which was punishment enough. Even though she too had long since been eliminated from the tournament, she could at least say she'd left leaving an impact, which was all she'd ever really wanted
