>>13334485>Why do you believe in God?The Kalam cosmological argument is pretty convincing.
>What is it about Christianity that appeals to you?Platonic Idealism is Western as fuck.
>Is there proof it's the one true religionNo.
>That Jesus existedThere's more evidence for Jesus than Homer. Unironically. The NT narrative of Jesus is more well attested than a lot of historical narratives that people take for granted every day.
>Is it culturalNo. I grew up in an atheistic household and before I converted I didn't really know any Christians.
>What have you gotten from itFulfillment. Order. Satisfaction. Basically everything the right-wing is about. I experimented with a lot of other religious systems (beyond my atheism, which is not a religious position) within the general right. Paganism seemed the most based, but I was driven away from it because the useful parts of it already existed within Christianity and the useless parts of it lead to insufferable and cheesy neo-pagan bullshit where it was obvious none of them had ever thought about any of it. I still have a soft spot for Benoist and to a lesser extent Evola, but you can respect someone's outlook while thinking it's incomplete.
