This down time did inspire me to work on the imageboard software some more.
The goal of it was to create an open source version of 4chan's yotsuba which its features and visuals are pretty close and before putting it back online I managed to get a scaled back version of 4chan's javascript extension working on it.
3chan dot co if anyone is interested in checking out the software.
I haven't tested 4chan-X on it but I'm sure once I get the API and extension fully working it will work with 4chan-X.
I hope altchans continue to do well and that more get setup.
The scene was less alive last time I checked which is a shame because I have sometimes seen more interesting boards and discussion on them compared to 4chan.
