the thing is that pagans and atheist are taking the same position: to destroy christianity the problem is, like it or not, the foundation of wester civilization is christianity
pagans for the most part are in a very wierd place where they are actually pseudo-christian, for example they reject one mayor part of the pagan rite: human and animal sacrifice, this rejection is purelly christian, a real pagan would have a clear commitment to the rite just like a christian to the mass, the other big issue is that some of them have appropiated the christian knight code of honor as if this was also the viking code of honor (the general way of living of vikings stemmed from being pirates and raiders)
but Varg has a huge point in the rejection of any form of Roman connection, Rome was the enemy of the nothern pagan tribes, Rome eliminated the gauls and the ibero culture...curious that even in this thread Rome was brought up as a pagan example....
some quotes:
Rene Guenon "crisis of the modern world":
>(95)we even assert that everything of value that there may be in the modern world has come to it from Christianity, or at any rate through Christianity
>the Western tradition has necessarily borne a religious form since the introduction of Christianity.
Heidegger- "What Is Metaphysics":
>this theological character of the "ontology of being" is not due so much to the fact that Greek metaphysics was later absorbed by Christian sacred theology... Heidegger- "What Is Metaphysics"
