Can anyone explain this to me? They are the most humorless people I've ever encountered. Whenever they do laugh it always feels fake and forced, like they're actively thinking " m a k e t h e m o u t h n o i se tha t is a s s ocia t e d wi th wha t th e o th e rs c a ll: JOKE " HA-aHA-aHA
What the hell is going on in their head? Why are they so uptight and weird? I feel like in their houses they just sit in silence and stare. Do they listen to music recreationally? Do they even enjoy playing the instruments that they are encouraged to play? It seems like they see something creative like "playing the piano" as a skill-based task to be memorized and replicated, and that the only enjoyment they get from it comes from that aspect. The fact that a song comes out of the big wooden box seems irrelevant to them. What the actual fuck is going on in these people's minds? Is this what that culture does to people? Do they actually enjoy anything, or are they just 'existing'? I feel like they have no inner monologue, but it's just a static buzz filling their minds. I dunno, anyone have any insight on this?
