>>9405779i don't normally watch those shows but i've seen a number of things in other media and it's basically the same thing. it often feels like the creators are making something for themselves and not for a wider audience, which is fine except they're then presenting it to an audience. i half expect them to dive into inside jokes or just unrelatable topics since most people aren't artists/anime writers/whatever the media is. it's like how no matter how much it bugs me i can't really rightfully complain about media displaying coding and "hacking" improperly because the details would just be boring to people
compare to something like pic related, which is a drawing about drawing but is relatable to everyone since it's not being detailed and everyone knows the basic idea of drawing which it portrays. something that tells about itself can be good, but it's just so much easier for it to fall very short. it's almost as bad as isekai
