Things like purpose "exist" entirely to satisfy the consciousness. Matter doesn't give a fuck, because it can't. I'm not nihilistic, I'm just laying things out in the most basic way. And while I don't have any purpose to my existence, I think the way I see things gives a hell of a lot greater purpose to the individual far more than just saying, "Hey, there's a god, he made the universe, we have to exist by his rules and following those rules will make us eternally satisfied", true or not. Like, you wouldn't want someone to tell you how to live your life, why would you listen to them, you'll choose to live it the way you want. It's the same thing. And while I now realize that's what it sounds like I'm doing, I promise I'm not. I'm just trying to be as concise as I can with my thoughts and am very bad at articulating them.
