light does not exist within space-time as we know it, it has no mass, it has no "time", neither concept exists for a photon. when light moves, from its perspective it's not even instantaneous travel, it's beyond that: the concept of travel isn't even a thing. for a photon going from point A to point B is essentially a one-dimensional state change. unfortunately for us, from our perspective it can only travel at light speed, and when something that doesn't even have the concept of travel still has a speed limit, that is a very aggressively firm speed limit. the only solution is some sort of hypothetical, non-traditional movement that allows you to reposition yourself without actually moving through space-time, like teleportation, wormholes, warp engines, etc.
