>>18369307Any Jiu Jitsu school worth its mats is going to train takedowns. Sure you'll find some that are strictly guard pullers, but they are fags and everyone knows it.
Single leg, double leg, osoto gari, some trips, the valley drop and maybe one other Judo throw is all you really need. Making a penetration step on concrete is a bad idea so training shots constantly isn't super useful.
Jiu Jitsu is really the only discipline that lets you end a fight without seriously injuring the guy. It is the ultimate 1v1 style. The other side of that coin is that it is damn near useless against more than 1 guy.
I train BJJ, Muay Thai, and MMA. I'm a pretty good regional BJJ competitor and I train the others just to round out my self defense skills.
