>>13704178>to create other human beings who will also feel goodCan you define "feeling good"? It appears to me that you live under delusion that your children will prosper as a part of a global possessing class whilst in reality they will share the habitat of a global, empoverished, mulatto favela. I symphatize with Camus' sentiment that despite the ultimate absurdity of human existence the human struggle can be perceived as grand within its own merit, but that fact alone does not impel me to burden another human with said struggle especially when he or she would have no saying in making that decision. Besides, what's your assurance that once they reach adulthood, your children's attitude will equal yours?
You accusation of "fear and weakness" is misguided as well, in pre-Christian times indifferent attitude towards your own life was considered as strength of character and suicide as a statement of will. I for one thing am fully aware that my life is an extension to nothing and extends into nothing and having children will not substitute that realization which some temporary notion of "meaning". I try to avoid situations which could lead to me being wounded, mutilated or crippled but as for life itself I'm completely oblivious to the fact if I live or die another day. I wonder if you can say so yourself.
