Energy is potential (measured or as phenomenon like seeing lightening).
Nuclear power is safe and natural... It's when the compressed rock for a billion years gets let out and the atoms that were not escaping (radiating) for all that time get to fly off really quickly, this causes intense radiation that can boil water (pic) and this is used as a steam turbine to turn the coils (like your car's alternator) at the power plant and produce electricity. Basically turning a copper coil around magnets produced electricity so you just need a power source to turn it.
