>see i don't know ifI mean, maybe they just can't help it. They're flies, they fly around the room and near where they sense what they want to be, because that's all they know to do. They're not smart enough to figure out a way out of the danger zone and really go away, and they can't fight back their instincts to fly around where you are, you know? The former doesn't really make sense, but the latter could actually be the case. They might simply be programmed to do what they do, and their sense of danger doesn't do anything to get them away from it. For example, crickets will start chirping again right after a little bit, even after you make them sense danger.
So, what if they sense that you're dangerous and are really scared of you, but their programming and instincts just don't allow them to not come back near you? Then they're not mocking you, it's just that this is all they know to do, and really are scared of you for the moment.
Actually, what if their memory is super bad? They do get traumatized for a little bit, but then they instantly forget that you were trying to kill them just a moment ago, and their instincts kick back into buzzing where you are. Then repeat. Has the memory capabilities that flies have been studied? They really could just be very forgetful, I don't know.
Point is, either they're emotionless husks that can nor fear or mock you, or that they indeed sense you're dangerous and fear you, but can't do anything against their programming which forces them to do what they do.
Or, maybe they really do like to mock humans. Do you think they're smart enough to conceive that? Or maybe just evolved for it? I did theorize the same thing about crickets, but, I guess that wasn't true either. I don't know, it would mean that they're absolute daredevils and don't care about you killing them or not, they just wanna show off and annoy you. What if it's actually a cultural sport between them, and, character limit. Walking home.
