/bant/'s coming was a chance to bring these people into a board where they could do as they pleased without mod retaliation while new anons were exposed to what they produced and enticed to join, something all boards I had visited before it had lacked. It is for that reason I opened up a link urging cirnoes to come into the thread either I or gap made on /bant/

The idea was never a popularity contest to monopolize a board, but a place where we could interact with users that we couldn't if we stayed confined to /jp/ while being allowed to pursue mindless funposting threads as well. And I feel on that level, we have been successful.
