It's a migrants country and the only requirement in order to become a civilian is religious affiliation, therefore this country has taken a shit ton of arab and Ethiopian jews long ago and right now they are the majority (Ashkenazi are only 20% and obviously only keep going down).
The reason you don't hear about this is that's taboo and no media outlet would talk about it, but in Israel it's obvious.
