>>11271566well that's the autistic part actually. chapter 3 doesn't seem to include anything relevant
>3.1 Formula Mass and the Mole Concept>3.2 Determining Empirical and Molecular Formulas>3.3 Molarity>3.4 Other Units for Solution Concentrationsyeah like i said when the class started general education professors are the most cringe people in existence. discussions can make sense sometimes for something like philosophy where it's opinionated or maybe even history if the course is designed in such a way that you're supposed to hypothesize reasons for why things happened the way they did or how things might've gone differently but there's absolutely nothing to add on to someone's post in a science class unless they made a mistake or failed to cover something they should have. it just ends up meaning that students are encouraged to tell other students their post is bad or forces them to make replies with absolutely no substance which does absolutely nothing but make the students resent the assignment, class, professor, and each other
it's just like that cringe ass writing assignment where we have to write about our feelings on a chemistry publication. it accomplishes nothing other than pushing students away from the topic more because they're forced to engage with it disingenuously since they obviously can't say "yeah this is boring as shit i don't care"
ofc it all wouldn't be an issue in the first place if i didn't have to be able to explain the bare basics of nuclear chemistry in order to be considered an educated linguist for some reason
