It essentially ended the war. Fuel.
He specifically said they'd target gasoline supplies. By air they'd light them up, the tanks weren't even their priority. They played it smart, this was clever, cunning. Just goes to show how things change, you'll never see one of our brass nowadays with those kinds of brains
