>>9033708well there's an enemy base you have to destroy but the short version of it is that if the game goes on long enough you really only need one good fight to find time to actually destroy the base even if you've made practically 0 progress towards doing it so far.
so in the situation i described the game ends up stalling out forever because the person with all the kills is running around like a headless chicken going for more kills instead of stuff that actually helps to win the game, then it's 60 minutes in and anyone dying is basically a guaranteed game over
i realized a better way to describe the whole thing though. you can sort of think of mobas as 50% street fighter 50% command and conquer. ideally everyone is good at both parts off the game, but there are lots of people who are great at one aspect of the game and really awful at the other. what i'm complaining about are people who are fantastic street fighter players but awful command and conquer players so they curb stomp their opponents early on when there't not a lot to do other than fight the 1 guy you're close to then they do absolutely nothing when it comes time to start moving around the map getting objectives and stuff
bonus points for the fact that they could just go wherever their teammates who actually know how to play this stage of the game tell them to but for some reason they're always convinced they know what they're doing
