You know what would be a cool scientific experiment? If a small town was created where they artificially lengthened the 24-hour day. If they had some bright ass light that imitated sunlight that they turned on to create a 36-hour day, then turned it off and created 8 hours of darkness. It would be cool to see if people could live in such a town and adapt to sleeping in such a manner. Maybe after a month or so it would feel normal to their bodies to sleep that way.
If there were no health effects and people could live normally with a 36-hour day it could become more mainstream and more places could create it. We would be more productive then as a human species.
What do you think? Is this impossible?
