If you want something for home defense right now with your level of experience. Here’s my honest opinion
>cheap mossberg like the 88 security model
>Aguilla buckshot MINISHELLS
>OpSel (or whatever brand it is) Adapter piece to make minishells cycle properly in your shotgun. Without it, it takes a little finesse to not have them jam or fall out
>12 GAUGE SNAPCAPS TO PRACTICE WITH SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND HOW THE GUN FUNCTIONS WITHOUT KILLING YOURSELF
Snap caps are cheap af and build confidence. Find a range that has a shotgun area to go and practice after you are comfortable with the snap caps.
ON THE MINISHELLS: Some people might shit on them. I dunno. But I like them and they will 100% down a home raiding jogger. They have almost no recoil (Compared to full size 3” shell) and you can fit ten or more in an 88. Low penetration power so you won’t kill your neighbors if that’s a concern. I promise you if you just buy a mossberg and throw some high powered elephant killers in there you’re going to scare the shit out of yourself and lose all confidence. Minishells will make you feel like god damn John Wick or some similar normie shit.
>beyond that it just depends on your price range, experience, state etc etc etc
