I think what you are describing happens when you read something but thnik about something else. You are still reading but don't know what exactly.
Most of the time i do listen fitting music when i read... To some extend before i write i have semi complete event in my head, that was created when listening to music. So its only natural that i listen to said track when lutting it into words.
